IHA Political Action Committee - One Voice, One Purpose

The Iowa Hospital Association Political Action Committee represents member hospitals and health systems by building relationships with lawmakers, being a credible, trusted voice on public policy, and amplifying our position on legislative and regulatory issues affecting health care in Iowa.

Your IHA PAC Contribution Matters

Your support of the IHA PAC helps ensure our voice is heard, strengthens our political influence, and positively affects health care decisions at the Iowa State Capitol and on Capitol Hill.

Participation is voluntary, and contributions of any amount are welcome to help achieve our 2025 campaign goal of $200,000. Contributors of $25 or more must complete a contribution form.

  • To support health care champions from both sides of the aisle and at the state and federal levels who are committed to addressing the needs of Iowa hospitals, patients and communities
  • To advocate for policies that strengthen hospitals and health systems, build the workforce and advance the health of Iowans
  • To maintain a strong, unified political voice that informs decision-makers, raises key issues and protects hospital interests
  • C-suite executives, directors, supervisors and managers who are salaried, full-time employees at Iowa hospitals
  • Physicians who are full-time, salaried hospital employees
  • Trustees and board members
  • Mail a personal check (cash is not accepted) and a completed contribution form to:

  • Contributions or gifts to the IHA PAC are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes
  • All contributions are voluntary and do not affect job status, performance review, compensation or employment
  • Any giving guideline is merely a suggestion. Any amount given or the decision not to give will not advantage or disadvantage you
  • Federal and state campaign finance laws require us to use our best efforts to collect and report the names, mailing addresses, occupations and employers for those whose contributions exceed $200 (federal) and $25 (state) in a calendar year (January through December)

IHA member hospitals and health systems can support the IHA PAC by coordinating local fundraising campaigns with eligible employees, physicians, and trustees. The IHA PAC campaign kit has everything you need to raise awareness, generate contributions, and help meet our goal.

2025 IHA PAC Campaign Dashboard

Bookmark the IHA PAC dashboard to track your hospital’s progress toward its goal. To find individual hospital contributions, scroll to the bottom portion of the infographic and click “By Hospital” in the donation category list. Select a hospital from the list by clicking on the bar. Next, hover the cursor over the hospital’s amount and click the bar graph icon in the pop-up menu. A new window will open. Click on “Full Data” in the left column to view or print individual contributions.

Contributions to the IHA PAC are accepted only from full-time, salaried hospital employees with managerial, professional or supervisory responsibilities, hospital trustees and employed physicians. Contributions will be screened and contributions received from outside the restricted class will be returned. Participation in the IHA PAC is voluntary and has no impact on job status, performance review, compensation or employment. You can refuse to contribute without being subject to coercion or reprisal. Only personal contributions are accepted. Guidelines on amounts are merely suggestions. Corporate contributions are not permitted. Contributions to a PAC are not deductible for federal or state income tax purposes.
